Rosie, not that you need further enabling, but it's also tough as nails. Mine has never failed to bloom despite having no roots when I first got it 4 years ago, dividing it twice to keep it small enough to fit in an arrangement with cryptanthus and tillandsias, and leaving it in my parents' inexperienced care while I attend school. I love this gorgeous little trooper!
I'm thinking of putting part of mine on a mount like yours next time I divide it, Camille, since the pseudobulbs stack so much. In my growing conditions it's been a bit annoying trying to get the new roots to grow all the way down to the medium when the new growths get too high above it.
