Default C. walkeriana

This C. walkeriana is a cross between C. walkeriana var. tipo with C. walkeriana 'Puanani'. The plant has six flowers on two inflorescences. The plant had a third inflorescence with three flowers that was cut and used in a flower arrangement. The plant is grown in a 4-inch clay pot with New Zealand Sphagnum moss as the media. The flowers have a sweet fragrance. I obtained the plant as an unbloomed seedling from H&R Nurseries in 2008.

Mel,
That looks great! Does this plant always bloom at this time of year for you?

Hi Steve. This plant seems to bloom at this time of the year. This is the second bloom for the plant. The first bloom had three flowers on one inflorescence in December 2009.

When are you moving to Texas?

Dang, I wish my walkeriana would bloom!

I leave for Texas on January 11th. My wife and I fly in to L.A. and then drive out to TX over the next week, stopping in various places to see friends and family. Should be fun!
