Default Cattleya warneri and some others

Here are some Cattleya and Laelia in bloom now:

Nice flowering of Cattleya warneri:

Seldom seen variation of Laelia sincorana, a light color allied to visible veins in the petals (unfortunately, not visible in the photos!!)

Nice stripped variety of Laelia purpurata (the stripes are on the surface of the petals)

Another var. striata, this time lighter than the preceding.

The next is the var. venosa. It differs from the preceding two by having colored veins inside of the petals' tissue.

Laelia lobata var. concolor growing on a tree in the back yard:

The first is Laelia purpurata var. oculata 'Pedreira', an old clone, but still the most beautiful! The second a good example of the variety anelata.

Lovely photos!

Mauro, Is it me or is your lobata lighter in color than it was last year?

Oh wow

I always like your carefully set up pics with the black background as it really shows off the flowers, but just ocasionally it's so good to see one growing on a tree like the Laelia lobata var. concolor.

It looks a little lighter, Ted, but this is due to the bright day and the direct sunlight. The flowers are very pale pink, but not almost white as they appear in the photos.

What an awesome group, especially those last two purpuratas.
