Talking Can I save it? Cattleya Green Power 'Victory'

*UPDATE* I has roots!!! I unpotted it and loosened all the media from the roots. Most of it is dead but there are a few good roots. Not mushy and seemingly no signs of rot (on the remaining roots I mean).
There is also a new growth! I did not see before but it is there. Dunno if it is still alive or not. Or even if it will survive. It is right next to the old growth from years back and you can see the black that is spreading into the main stem from it. Its not soft (the black area). It actually feels a little leathery? I gave it a quick soak in diluted Physan 20 and am bagging it until I get can get some KLN.
Will post pictures later. Couldn't get a non-blurred photo.

This is my Cattleya Green Power 'Victory.' (The tag reads: Pot. KAT Green Power 'Victory') Got it as a gift back in 2007/2008. It was doing beautiful until one very hot summer day. It got sun burned and then during a crazy rain shower, it got water logged. Its been this way since. I have been lugging it around. Unwilling to let it go but unsure as to how to save it or if I even can.
It had big beautiful green blooms and this amazing lemon-lime scent (like Sprite!).
So... Can I save it? What can I do?

I doubt it. Even if you could get some new growth it probably wouldn't bloom for a couple years.

I didn't think about that. I guess, since it seems to be so tenuously hanging on to life that I am afraid to disturb it. >< Might send it over the edge. However, with a prayer and trembling hands I will unpot it tomorrow and have a little look see.

I don't mind if it doesn't bloom. As long as it was alive and growing.

I do have a trip to my semi-local supplier planned. I will pick up some KLN. But how would I go about reviving it?

I will upload a few more pictures. The cane that had the newest growth on it before it got waterlogged and rotted off is slowly turning black now. >< As I understood it, Cattleyas grow only linearly?

i think if it had a viable eye, it would have sprouted by now....so best to give it a decent farewell and start anew....gl

candidate for "Sphag-n-bag"

wring out some soaked sphagnum moss
put in plastic bag with poor 'chid
close bag, and place in warm dim location
if any life left, it will sprout for you -- eventually

may all your orchids bloom like crazy
