Talking My New Orchids Are Here!

Meet Laelia superbiens var. alba 'Don Hubert Cross' CBM/AOS and Lc. Amethystella var. coerulea, both from SBOE and both A LOT bigger than I expected.

Laelia superbiens: It has 1 spike forming and 1 spike that is out already. And, it's about 14 inches tall from the top of the pot.

This is the Lc. I thought it was the Laelia superbiens, as it is taller than that one. The Lc. is about 17 inches tall and I think it's initiating a spike...although that could be a growth.

Congratulations, Maria! Be sure to post pictures when they bloom.

Maria's always got somethin' goin' on so I must ask... are there any other arrivals expected in the near future?

Ha!! funny you should ask!! LOLOLOLOL

Ummmm (insert innocent look)!!!

I just bought another Laelia anceps division and well, I'm getting two more from SBOE at the end of October, and of course, I'm TRYING to improve my teeny tiny yard so I've been buying "regular" plants for that. SNORT.

Last week I received 25 in the mail. 3 in bloom and one in spike. Somehow I managed to sneak all but 8 of them into my collection without them being noticed. The other 8 are visiting my friends house for a while.
