Here are some Encyclia species blooming out now.
The E. cordigera is well-known and needs no comments.
The E. edithiana is relatively new to science, it grows in the wild in the Amazon region. The lip is awesome in my opinion.
Finally, Encyclia oliveirana has been discovered a few years ago (described in 2007) by a friend of mine, Reginaldo Vasconcelos, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. It is a very distinctive species in that the flowers are non-resupinate. Also, the lip is very characteristic to the species.
