Pot them in a good draining medium. I use almost pure bark of good hard quality. Let them dry between waterings like a Cattleya.

you could even put them in a net pot so the roots get more air ,but you'll have to water more.

I am sure many people are growing Encyclias, but your post was about trading/purchasing. I have 3 Encyclias but none i want to part with - I saw your post on this and other forums but didnt have reason to respond If you are looking to get Encyclias check the vendors sites. Many are readily available.

I didn't want anyone to part with any plants just was woundering if any one had extras or had one big enough to divide . I would rather trade if i can instead of just buy out right then two people are getting what they want . . I have plenty of plants to trade and some i'd just give out right to people . I know theres many of sites out there that sell them and i do buy. But i'm sure i'm just as tight with money as the next guy in this day and age.It like my Mama said sometimes you just have to ask to get what you want.
