So I have this loverly Epidendrum ibaguense, which I bought as my second orchid a few years ago.
The plant in question is featured in this thread-
Special rebloom- Epid. ibaguense
When it finished blooming this year, I repotted it (first time since I got it, horrible I know!), and it had a great root system and everything.
It is in a plastic pot that fits snugly in a terra cotta cache pot that also drains. The lower half of the pot is leca, the upper is a medium bark mix.
Before the move, it was thriving in a southern window where it got direct sun for several hours a day. I put it outside in dappled shade where it gets a few hours of sun in the early morning, but ever since it was moved, it has been very..soft? The leaves aren't rigid anymore, more limp, but not wilty. And several have become wrinkled. I suspect it was the heat. It's been in the low 80s-mid 90s.
I have been watering it when the media drys halfway down- same as always. It gets misted in the heat of the day.
Does this sound like normal behavior for a plant that hasn't lived outside for a few years that just got chucked out into the elements?
I dont' have a computer that would survive uploading pictures at the moment, so those might have to wait.
