Curtis, I suggest that you make a more dilute solution of fertilizer and increase the application frequency.

Hi Curtis,
First of all your cattleya looks very 'fit'
I am NOT a Cattleya expert and these are not the 'easiest' for me to grow in my conditions @ the moment
I have read somewhere that usually each new 'growth' should be the same size as your older growths for maximum'health' ( If biggger all the better!)
Your new growths look fine and your first photo where new leaves are 'smaller' is not a problem they are younger so, give them some time!
The bottom of your youngest growths look a very healthy size!
Keep on doing as you are making sure the new roots grow and the p/bulb fattens to the size (if not bigger) than your older p/bulbs and you'll be winning! Keep us posted
