will a sheath continue to groow after?
I had myself one of those oh duh ...READ " AWW CRAP" Moments this morning and broke a the leaves off a new lead.It had a nasty black spot that had ate a hole through the second leaf so that was a ahh ok moment.I had peeled the covering on the PB back a little because It was holding water in the leaves and had caused the black spot to develop there.anyways the first big leaf was not matured enough and due to my fumbling I snapped it right off too ....aww @#@ anyways now I see it may have a small flower sheath growing that did not get broke off ...not counting on it and think it will be extreame luck if it does ....but Has anyone ever seen a flower sheath continue to grow in such a case?
By the way a fair plant with other growth also and several leaves still for support

Long time ago a willow tree fell on plants that were outside . One of them had a sheath broke the leaf off , it did bloom, looked kinda funny. It might depend on how far along the sheath is when the leaf is lost .. Gin

Would it be similar to plants blooming from old, dried up sheaths like we've heard of on the board?

No Idea, have you got a photo? what species or hybrid is it? Hopefully someone will chime in and help you.
