Default Brassovola Nodosa 'Susan Fuchs'

Although it is very common it is still very nice. This clone has exceptionally large flowers.

Common or not, it is still a lovely species. Wish I had one!

Beautiful blooms. O.K. Jerry, what's your secret? How'd you get that gorgeous plant to bloom in the heat of summer? I have a healthy nodosa that will only spike as the days shorten and the temperatures begin to subside. We're live in the same state and same zone. My plant is grown outdoors, is yours? Thanks.

Junebug, I suspect it is just the variety. It blooms summer through fall and has done so regularly. I have another plant that I got from Jewell Orchids as blooming size in a four inch pot a couple of years ago and it hasn't bloomed yet.

Thanks. I thought your success was due to some BIG secret. My nodosa is currently producing a few small sheaths, but she'll probably won't bloom until mid to late fall.

Wonderful plant & flowers Jerry!
I got one a couple of months ago and it has put out 4 new growths.
Junebug could you please post a pic of your nodosa and with its sheaths? Merci

Here you go. Sorry for the blurry shots and lack of detail. I always have a hard time focusing sheaths. There are 5 small sheaths on the plant now. Three more growths should produce flowers too, but they aren't fully developed yet.
