Bought this sweet little cross by Alan Koch of Gold Country Orchids at my DOS meeting last night. He gave a really fascinating presentation about miniatures for the home grower- loved it!

He was such a gracious and generous guy to talk to.

Now, however, I cannot find photos of one of the parents- C. Little Dipper. Apparently it's a great parent, but I can't find any examples of the actual plant! Does anybody have one, or pictures of one?

He brought one of this cross that was in bloom, so I know what it will look like, but I was curious about the parents.
It's a beautiful little pink and white splash petal.

Mine is in bud, I'll post pictures of it later.
Has the healthiest roots of my entire collection!

Oh wow, I'd heard that it looks like lipstick on the petals- that's uncanny!
Different from the one other picture I've been able to track down, had a different splash pattern.

Thanks warren!

Hello Izzie,

Here is another example. While not a lovely as the first link, it will help keep you wondering about yours.

I should have taken a cell phone picture of the one Dave had in bloom.
If I remember correctly, it might have been similar, but with more rosey edging on the petals. I've emailed him to see if he can send me a photo- this cross is not available on his website yet, since it's newer.

Wait, is that C. Little Dipper? The shape and colors are completely different than the other link...interesting.
