I measured last night...the bloom is 7" across, the spike is 7" tall and it starts from a p-bulb that is...7"!
Here's a pic of the whole mount, the space between the white bars top and bottom is 17 inches:

OK Susie Q, be nice to me.... is the name of this beauty a name change from Cattleya or Cattleya Alliance? I would love to have any of the similar plants with such frilly flowers... and of course the pool is looking very nice this year....

It's always been Ryncholaelia digbyana for me...but now I'm curious
Does anybody know the right answer

Doc, I've told you before...you have an open invitation to visit my home when you come to Florida. We'll have a few folks over
One day, we WILL put together an OB get-together at June's Orchid Estate!
