Yam Queen Adelia 'Kilani'
Hi everyone,
Introducing: Ms. Yam Queen Adelia 'Kilani' and her court.....front and center: 2 sisters seated with her in their basket/throne, odds and ends admirers (Phals on their way out until next year...hopefully) etc. I'm proud of my bloomers this year and last (especially since I'm only a very new 2 yr. grower). I have had a few other Phals and 2 or 3 other types that bloomed, but they are either mounted or moved on.
Thanks for allowing me to share my photo.....I appreciate you taking time to stop and meet some of my chids.
(Ok, I'm being really silly, but it's just one of those days. You may be wondering if I took a couple of silly-pills for lunch (no, that's just me) )

Great blooming! Do you know the name of your burgundy Dendrobium? It looks like the one I just purchased (can't remember the name off-hand).
Your Yamadara is now classified as Maumeneara. I have the same one and just got my first AOS award with it.

Hi!
Thanks...I'm having lots of fun with my orchids...blooming and non.
After I read your reply, I went back out to the greenhouse to check the tag on the burgandy Den., but it didn't have one. I bought it blooming at Lowes just a few weeks ago. This one is an 'oops'...I didn't mean for it to be in the group photo since it's not one I rebloomed.
Thanks for clearing me up on the classification. There's so much to learn and classifications are just one of the many I'm having trouble with.....especially if they change often.
Congratulations on your award! That's great! Do you have a picture of your orchid? If you do, I'll print it and show it to MY Yams (Maumeneara).....that might encourage them to see how they should REALLY look (just a little psychological trick I could try
Thanks again,
Vicki

my mistake!
After I had already submitted my thread below, I noticed that I included my dark burgandy Den. I didn't mean to because it's not one of my reblooms. I bought it at Lowes a few weeks ago already in bloom.
