Default Schomburgkia finally in spike

After multiple false alarms my Schomburgkia thomsoniana has finally developed her first promising spike. It's taken about 5 weeks for the spike to achieve it's current length of 3'. The buds have begun forming but I have no idea how long it will take for them to bloom. My best guestimate would be in about 2 weeks. The anticipation is killing me.

Thank you. She was purchased from an Ebay vendor 22 months ago and delivered growing in a tiny pot with 4 short pseudobulbs. I transferred her to a mount right away and she's been vigorously growing ever since. She's been teasing me with sheaths and small spike formations on 3 of her older pseudobulbs. I think they still have the potential bloom because they periodically swell and shrink.

Thank you. This particular species has been easy, easy, easy to grow. Good luck with your selections.

It's Myrmecophila thomsoniana now. There are no plants now the genus Schomburgkia having been transferred to Myrmecophila or Laelia.
