Cattleya luedemanniana
Cattleya lueddemanniana is a unifoliate species native to lowland Venezuela. I particularly like this one, and the color of the flower in the picture is TRUE! The violet "flashes" are visible without the aid of a camera...

Congrats Pat! Curiously, there are some lueddemannianas (and percivalianas, another venezuelan beauty) blooming here in Brazil, in the fall (OK, a very hot fall, but still fall...), and yours is in the spring! Unfortunately I don't have these ones (yet!).
