Default Reed Stem Epidendrum

This is Epi. Pacific Shock-wave 'Sprinkles' x Pacific Girl 'Cortez Banks' HCC-AOS. It came from Santa Barbara Orchids a few years ago and it is a real flower maker.

I don't know if its Cal-Orchid or SBOE making these epis is but they are using Pacific Girl (one of your's parents) in a hybridizing program that makes the petals and sepals very full. And has accomplished this in just a few years... which seems pretty quick to my uneducated eye. They just floor me. Not quite as many flowers as yours, so they suffer that way, but I guess one can't have everything, *G* Check the CSNJC web page (California Sierra Nevada Judging Center) and teh Pac Central web page: Epi. Pacific Pepper 'Fire Demon'

Amazing color! The way the blooms are clustered up make me think of a fireworks display, especially with the bright color.
