Are there any growing tips for Lc. C.G. Roebling 'Sentinel'? This one is primary hybrid between L. purpurata and C. gaskelliana. I don't know if this particular cross prefers different conditions compared to the "regular" catt hybrids. For those of you who grow it, how hard is it to grow? To bloom? How big are the flowers? I really want to get one because I love the blue.

Thanks for any info!

I have a small one (not bloom size, and not sure how far away from bs it is) - it started going downhill last summer, I think it was staying too moist (I had it in chc in a plastic pot).
Roots were pretty well rotted. I then repotted into straight pumice, and have the pot setting in a saucer of water (passive hydro) during warm weather. It rebounded extremely well with lots of new growth and new roots. Over winter I skipped the saucer of water, and just watered regularly. It's in a south facing window with no signs of that being too much light. Can't help with the blooming tho, sorry

I just bought this at a local flower show. They were bare root but a chose one with a decent root system and a small nub .... most likely a new shoot .

Ive decided to mount it on tree fern bark.
will take some pics and post later.

Fell in love with the colouration and the sales person said it was fragrant ... not sure if it really is though. Im just doing some research on it now.
