Outstanding blooms on this one, Gena. Congratulations. I don't grow purpurata since I've heard that they take up a lot of space. But every time I see a picture of one in flower, I am very tempted to add one to my collection.

They do take a space, Steve, but still I can not resist them ......

There is always room for at lest one. I can't resist and anxiously await mine to bloom in June each year. I will move everything else to make room for it. It is such a rewarding flower..Here's mine. I received an HCC for this one last year. I named it after my Mom 'Ona M.' Betty
