Default Encyclia bractescens

I love this time of year, the greenhouse gets filled with the lovely scent of all the Encyclias blooming. Here is one of the more fragile of the genus....Enc. bractescens:

Ooooh
I have 2 of those-one is a hybrid- I can't wait to see them in bloom, but they are quite small yet.

Nice one, Jasen. I love the look of this species, so cute. Do you get any fragrance from this one?

It's hard to tell, the way my allergies are acting up, but I haven't noticed a fragrance...which is strange for an Encyclia.

It might not effect it....but any time you disturb the roots, you run the risk of blasting a bud, or two.
