Default Cattleya intermedia var. lilacina

This is an old clone of very soft lilac lip (hence the varietal name lilacina). The plant comes from Brazil south, where intermedias are shorter than those that grow in the southeast.

Cool, love the subtle colouring on the lip.

The blooms are beauties, Mauro, but I really like the short flower stature. Maybe if I start pruning my plant heavily it will cooperate and turn itself into a bonsai! :-)

Steve, I'm not that radical! I only show the scissors once a month to mine and she quietly understands!!!

Mauro, that's a great idea. Many of my orchids could use a little discipline in their lives. Maybe if I just go out there and hover over them with a scissors periodically, that will be enough. Thank you for the idea.
