Hello friends!

Thanks for the kind words! I cultivate the L anceps beneath the vines, because it seems they prefer to be under more shade in the summer (when the vine is with leaves) and under full sun in winter (when the vine is without leaves). I also realized that the anceps doesn't like being planted in a pot, preferring to grow over the substrate and pot, therefore, remaining drier than other orchids which are planted. I guess the better way to grow anceps is mounted, not poted

That kind of speaks to how Santa Barbara recommends planting their L. anceps.

They say to just put the original small pot into a larger pot, so that the new roots just grow into the void in-between- without ever replacing the media. If it works, it works, I guess!

I think that would keep the anceps too dry in my conditions.
