Cool Pot. Samantha Duncan 'Paradise'

Found this little love at my first visit to CO's orchid vendor, Fantasy Orchids.
I'm in love, so sweet, and slightly fragrant to boot.
Is it true that these stay smaller than other Cattleyas?
dry out between waterings?
underpot?

I have to say, this one has got to be the hardest flower I've ever found to photograph true to color.
Spent half an hour on the shots I got to get it as close as I could to the actual red of the flower.
Even now- the color is a richer, more dark cherry red than this, not quite as orange.

And yes. That is a chopstick holding it up. Resourcefulness at its best.

It's become good friends with my other mini- an Easter cactus that's just going out of bloom (had 15 at last count).

Thanks Deb, I can take credit for the cactus, but not the Potinara- I bought it in bloom on tuesday.
I do love the red- the owner thought it was one of the better red catt hybrids.

Absolutely beautiful! I love that rich red! I too have a hard time getting a good pic to represent the true flower color.
I have some Christmas cacti but the flower look nothing like yours. I really want one like that, does it have a special name? I've never even seen one like that around here!

Thanks everyone! I was so lucky to find her, was browsing the catts and asked the owner if they had any that would stay small, and he gave me a great deal on this sweetie!
@dounoharm- thanks for the info! I could send you a division in ...what...five years? I've seen the 'Orange Tart'? around a lot, but not this 'Paradise'- I like this one's color better.

@Angela- I can usually get it by using different settings on my camera, and if all else fails, tweaking on Photoshop, but this was ridiculous.
Found the little cactus a few months ago at a local greenhouse, it didn't come with a name- I just know it's a stellar variation, like a stellar geranium.

FYI its a easter cactus(Hatiora/schlumbergera gaertneri) not a christmas cactus(hybrid between S. russelliana and S. truncata) thats why it has different flowers... lol There both closely related but different all the same
