Laelia harpophylla
This is one of my favorite Laelia's!
My plant has 2 spikes, one with 2 buds and one with a flower and 2 more buds.

Lovely, Laura! This is a showy species even with only one bloom, so figure out with dozens! I lost mine many years ago and ended up forgetting to replace it, now you made me remember that I need find one again!

Thanks everyone and yes Mauro you really do need to replace it. I get so exited every year when I see the spikes starting...it's hard to be unhappy while looking at such a bright and cheery flower!

I haven't ever measured them but the spikes come straight up with a slight arc, I'd say about 10 inches, give or take...

Actually, I just went out and re-shot some photos and the spike is only about 4 inches long. I'll post new photos later...
