 No, Ted, it's not just you...it's a weird flower - the lip points straight up and the petals/sepals fold straight down. I looked at other pictures of this cross on the web and they were the same way so it must be normal for this cross.
Kinda strange, but pretty...it kind of looks like an iris that way!! |

That is so cool and I am sure glad you posted the pictures. I rescued one from Lowe's a couple of months ago...bag baby, and had no clue what it should look like.
