Cyann, I suspect your orchid in more correctly named "Cookara bill" which is a cross of Ctna. maui maid 4n x Dial. snowflake 4n and is a member of the Cattleya alliance but Cookara is the family (?) name.
Your flowers are a little paler than mine.
Nice flowers by the way! I only managed one flower on my little plant.

Close Baz, it is Williamcookara Bill, the ABV. is Wll. Cyann, your label should read Wll. Bill, you can put the whole name if you want, there is no 'Cattleya' in the name.

Baz. Your name is not just close, it is spot on. We received a letter years ago, signed by the RHS registrar of hybrids, recognizing and acknowledging that Ctna. Maui Maid x Dialaelia Snowflake = Cookara Bill.

We have NOT received a signed letter from the RHS,which either rescinds the name or amends it. I do not believe any other hybridizers have received such letters concerning their previously registered hybrids.

When this happens, we can all begin the onerous task of revising history.
