Encyclia peraltensis

Encyclia peraltensis is found in Costa Rica at elevations around 500 to 600 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte that blooms in the spring. The flower size is .8" [2 cm]. The plant shown is only 6" [15cm] tall.
Checking the orchidspecies.com photo database, this flower looks more like the mexican form, with lighter green sepals, petals infused with red towards the tips.
This plant was purchased from Miranda Orchids last month. Francisco Miranda spoke at our orchid society and he brings - sells plants !!
