Cattleya labiata var. alba 'Yacyara'
Here's another good white labiata in bloom now. The meaning of yacyara is 'mirror of the moon' in Tupi-guarani, the language of one of the most important Brazilian indian nations. Along with labiata alba 'Yacytinga' (= white moon) these two are my best albas.

Beautiful! Did you get this one and 'Yacytinga' as seedlings?

Yes, Ted. They come from different origins and were small seedlings when I added them to my collection. I also have a few seedlings from a third cross starting to bloom by now, but the flowers don't seem so good as these two.

It is always great feeling to be the first to bloom an outstanding form of the species.
