While I realize this likely no longer classified as an "Slc", I'm tired of trying to keep up with all the name changes. As far as I'm concerned, it remains "Slc"
Well the color is still off but at least it shows up as red. (My major peeve with digital cameras is the difficulty in getting reds and purples to come out correctly.) The actual color is much deeper though still very vibrant. I'm sure the satiny sheen did not help matters. Blooms reliably for me every February.
I know how you feel... I have tried different things to get good color. My daughter is into photography and said that there is a setting to change in the camera. My camera isn't that advanced. I was trying to take a picture of a very dark velvety Streptocarpus. It came out to light.
Still a lovely flower. I remember photographing mine in the mid 80's when I picked up the prints it was orange. After explaining to the developer a more in debth detail of what it was supposed to be they came out right the second time.
I just love the growth rate on this cultivar mine went from a 3" pot to over flowing a 12" pot in all directions in 4 years. It was a beautiful specimen. I wished I still had it.
