Laelia crispa var. orlata 'Anecy'
Here's my beautiful crispa orlata. It is a floriferous species.
This variety has incredibly dark burgundy lips, the color encircling the side lobes.

I was scared to death to open this thread when I saw the title, but I did anyway. L. crispa is just about the most wonderful flower I've seen, and an orlata form would probably bring me to my knees. Well, Mauro, I've just gotten up off the floor, and all I can say is OMG!!!!!! Just FABULOUS!!!

Those flowers just scream out "Tropical." I love them.
I'm assuming this species gets pretty big?

Kim, not everybody likes L. crispa because of the 'poor form', they say! Oh, well, everytime I hear stuff like that I answer that L. crispa is what it is! Period! To me, it is one of the most handsome in the Cattleya Alliance! Glad to know that you like it!

L. crispa is lovely in its own way. Not all orchids are ment to have perfect, flat, round flowers. It is the diversity that keeps me going.

You almost "steel" my words.
I want so much a Crispa, and no chance to get one soon.
