Sophronitis cernua
After growing it for almost 4 years without killing it, I decided to bloom for me. Sophronitis cernua, I don't recall if it is still called that though. This one bloomed for me about a month ago.

So sweet.
I think all of Sophronitis has been moved to Cattleya, but I am undecided as to whether I agree with it or not. I'm a little skeptical.

Thanks, yes I believe it was moved to Cattleya. I guess it depends on whether you are a lumper or a separator if you agree or not. LOL.

Very cute! Whether or not we personally agree with them going to Cattleya, we really don't have a choice if we want to register their hybrids.

Luckily I don't breed Catts so I can have whatever crazy opinion I want, and label my plants as such! ![Laughing](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Beautiful blooms! Mine bloomed for me this past september, and the color really is stunning! I still don't see why they had to go screw around with the names! Botantists must really have nothing better to do with their time. Calling it a Catt just seems strange, so it stays Sophronitis on my label!

Hey Camille, was wondering if you or anyone else have any other Sophros. Example, S. coccinea, I heard those are real stunners.

I agree Camille. My cernua has never bloomed for me but it currently has five new growths so maybe flowers later. You think?
