I just take mine to the sink and spray 'em down. (I have one of those hand held nozels that I can pull out.) And when they're hanging outside in the summer a quick squirt with the water hose is all it takes. (And yes, they definitely get watered more on hot sunny days.)

As promised, here are a few shots of the root system on one of my cats. Healthy, healthy, healthy, if I do says so myself! As I had mentioned before, you'll notice that I've been able to remove the fishing line I originally used to mount this plant because it's hanging on so well by itself.
