Default Pot. Dick Smith 'Paradise'

This is a very attractive tri-color cattleya. The flowers are nicely presented and does not require staking. This is a first bloom for this plant which is growing in a 4-inch plastic pot with bark media. The flowers are mid-size with a natural spread of 4-inches. I have bloomed other plants of this clone. They consistently have the same shape and color.

Beautiful. How tall is the plant? I'm guessing it's not a mini Catt...?

I just got a lowes bag baby orchid with this name, The picture on the bag looks nothing like your gorgeous beautiful bloom... I don't know enough about cattleyas & how they are named to understand much - my tag said-
LV62 Pot Dick smith 'Paradise' Splash Petal then it had a date 12/27/11....what does the 'splash petal' mean, & why does the name have a date on it?
