Slc Bright Angel x Blc Toshie Aoki 'Robyn'
Second time it has bloomed and it's time for the sales table. The colour is beautiful but the shape is poor unfortunately.
It doesn't look like this cross has been registered.

Everything is in colour. And I don't know why you don't like the shape. It is not superb, but it is not poor either.

Hi Bolero,
ditto what Shadow said, but if you ever want to sell it or anything similar let me know - you might not remember me- we've talked before initially through Gardenweb. I'm in Yinnar which is next to the Hazelwood Power Station in West Gippsland Yinnar.
I don't have a proper GH yet but I'm planning on building one in the spring.
Regards
Damian.

The shape in the picture is deceptive, it's not as filled in as it looks and it's certainly not 'round'.
Compared to other compact flowers, although the colour is good, it won't ever win anything with shape. I know that's not everything in a plant but it's important to me to show them.

I didn't know that you are looking for an award. Well, only small percent of orchids is an award quality and if you want one you have to bloom lots of them or to buy a division of an awarded plant. But in both cases it will cost lots of money. Hope next time you will be more lucky.

Not after an award although it would be nice and one I was one point from an HCC......oh well!!!
No just looking to show (as I'm a student judge) and want to be competitive.
I have a few really good plants and a few really bad ones.......the bad ones I'm going to sell and with the money buy some more seedlings.

I heared these words so many times.... that I will never buy an orchid from another orchid hobbyist. Seems to me everybody sells those plants that are not nice or don't bloom. Me too....

I never sell off plants that won't bloom. I don't think it's fair on the buyer.
But I can't see why selling these off to casual growers who like them would be a bad thing. I guess it's a really shallow attitude of mine to be honest, but having said that I have some really average plants from when I first started growing. They may not look great but I have become very attached to them.
Being a part of a judging panel I've learnt to become increasingly ruthless with my newer plants though.

If I sell the plant that did't bloom for me I always say that. Well, it was only one plant that didn't bloom. But the people still buy. Probably, because I sell very cheap....
