Default Cattleya guttata var. lilacina

I got this piece on a trade. It was sent to me as var. caerulescens... Well, it is blooming for the first time in my hands and it clearly is not caerulescens, but lilacina, which is a different variety.

It's fantastic, Mauro. How tall are the flowering growths? Is this species taller, shorter, or about the same size as Cattleya tigrina (formerly leopoldii)?

Steve

Steve
My plant is about a foot tall, Steve, but it will grow a little more to about 1.5-1.8 feet.
My guttatas are all shorter than the leopoldiis. In general the two are equivalent, but it all depends on the clone. Some guttatas don't go higher than 1.3-1.5 foot, others reach 3 feet. The same with leopoldii.
