Im not surprised this is the only thread I can find here on this plant..it is a BIG WIDE LARGE plant. Grows like mad...Ed? where are your Drumbeats now? I see they are listed as winter blooming plant...I wonder if anyone ever got one of these to bloom after its been growing indoors too long? I have lots of new shoots and lots of sheaths. It wont stop putting out new shoots. That cant be bad.These are really nice large flowers.

LC Drumbeat heritage was the first large cattleya I ever bought, many years ago. It's a beautiful classic cattleya that's been a realiable bloomer for me. Mine is growing out over the sides of a 12" clay pot. It makes a wonderful large specimen plant. Mine only has a sligth fragrance.
