Here's a nice plant of Sophronitis cernua that I just found blooming. The plant is three times as large from a side view, but this view had the most flowers.

Looks like quite a happy plant! Catwalker, do you know of any other Sophronitis species that we can grow at sea level in Hawaii? I have cernua, but would love others and I have a feeling you might know the answer to this question. Thanks!

Sophronitis brevipedunculata.

Coccinea might survive but it does not thrive.

That is really a great looking plant, great growing! Mine still has some ways to go before putting on a display like yours. It bloomed for the very first time this past fall. I see that you grow yours in sphag. How does it take to it? I was under the impression that this was a plant that likes to dry out quickly after watering. I grow mine mounted on cork with a bit of sphag to cover the roots.
