Cattleya leopoldii var. rosea and peloric form
Not everybody likes peloric orchids, but I do. Here's a tri-lipped C. leopoldii that also has a beautiful and very different pink lip. The pinkish lip color is reflected in the petals producing a nice contrast against the brownish sepals.
The second clone is not peloric but also has a beautiful light pink lip.

Thanks, Brad!
A book... well... writing a book is not any easy task, as you know. You need something new to offer and in a very solid base. I've been thinking of the possibility.... who knows...!!!

Not so much a book for scientific research as a large format folio of your photography.Lots of pretty pictures of beautiful Brasilian orchids. Brad

I like this peloric one, Mauro, because the second and third "lips" are fairly subtle. Some peloric flowers have segments that are so pronounced that it's hard to look at the blooms and figure out where the real lip is. That being said, I think the bloom in the middle picture is my favorite of these. You have way too many C. leopoldiis in your collection, and since I know it has to be something of a burden for you, I am once again (generously, I think) offering to give them a new home.

Fine taste, Steve! The flower you chose is really charming with that pink lip against the brownish segments!
I know you are generous guy, Steve, but you know, I have a fierce fierce dragon at my grh's door... he lets plants in, but never out...
He doesn't like photos, but agreed to show up in one...
THE DRAGON!!!!!!

I LOVE dragons, Mauro! And yours looks especially handsome (or pretty, if it happens to be a female). But I wouldn't want to upset him and see how angry he might get, so I guess I'll stay away from your orchids.
