cats won't bloom

I have about 30 cats, all look healthy, nice and green, unfortunately, all are noids. When I started growing orchids i didnot know that the tags with their names were important, so dumb me all are missing.
That said I now take my orchid growing very seriously and have been giving them tlc, for over a year or two. Bright llight under a screened cage, with several hours of sun. I seem to have the watering and feeding down, not loseing any to drought or flood. lots of new roots and growth but no flowers. Several have made sheaths that then dry up with no flower. I have searched the board and read everything i can find, but have no idea how to acheive bloom. One plant produced two blooms earlier this fall, around October, otherwise nada. I have 5 vandas in bloom at the moment, beautiful, and several of my phals are spiking. Any suggestions.??

It sounds like you must have them in good light, since the vandas are able to bloom. But low light could still be an issue. Would you be able to post some pics of your catts? Colour of the leaves may give us a sign of how much light they are recieving.
Are they in a window? If so what direction does it face?

I agree, too little light is probably the biggest factor in Catts not flowering.

I agree that you probably need more sun. My chids are also in a pool screened area. They get, in the summer, all morning hours sun or afternoon late afternoon hours sun. In the winter they are getting a lot of south sun since it is not as intensely hot. Many are blooming now for me with others spiking. If your leaves are a nice dark green then you need more sun but don't move them too quickly. They will get sunburned. Move them slowly to a more sunny location. I like to move mine on days that are cloudy. Hope that helps.
