Cattleya jenmanii
Cattleya jenmanii is blooming now. It’s first blooming for this particular plant and … well, what I can say, quality of the flowers could be better. We will see how it will bloom next season ….
Plant was bought from Brazil.

That is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful orchids of any type that I have ever seen!!!!!! And the photo is outstanding! How did you capture all of those colors?! (And this is coming from a 60% colorblind individual!) Quality of flowers, from an award perspective, counts for very little to me, as long as the blooms aren't disfigured (even that can be interesting sometimes!)... it can not be denied that your plant has produced fabulous results. What an ethereal presence!

That is just totally lovely, Gena. I agree with Elliot, award quality is not as important to me as the simple beauty of the individual.

Gena to find a good jenmanii is quite a hard task, they are commonly skinny. Your plant may not be the queen of jenmaniis but only the fact of cultivating them so far from the tropics I consider these flowers a good gift in any case.
