Oh, Elliot, only reason is that yesterday we had a sun here for the first time during at least one month! So, I was able to take some pictures outside. And light outside now is very good – gentle and very soft (mostly, at that time it’s just dark and grey here….).

Hera, it's only "normal" Cattleya conditions nothing extra: intermediate range of temps with diurnal temp fluctuation (at least 5 degrees and much more during summer months), humidity level around 60%, good air movement, light - as much as plant can take. For that reason I have my Cattleyas outside on south faced balcony during summer. As potting medium I'm using medium grade bark in plastic pots. Watering and fertilizing depend on a stage of growing cycle of the plant as well as other conditions such as temperature, intensity of air movement etc.
