Default The nodosa family...

These beauties are currently smelling up my whole greenhouse and my entire living room (and most of the house). The larger one, on the interesting piece of wood, is the infamous B. nodosa....which I'm sure needs no introduction. The flowers are pretty big this year, I think the plant is finally reaching specimen size. The smaller plant, with the smaller flowers, is B. Little Stars (nodosa x subulifolia)....another wonderful smelling dependable bloomer. The nodosa still has quite a few blooms left to open, but this may be the only chance I get to take pictures. When they are both in the greenhouse, you smell them the second you open the door (which is about 25' from where they hang). The air is so thick with the smell, it's like a "fragrance cloud"!
