Default Cattleya mendelii 'Carlos Arango'

I am a fan of this species, but I confess I don't like this clone much. The flowers are large, but the petals are a little too flacid to my taste.

I like it a lot, Mauro. As I've said before, I like the rather less 'refined' look of many species.

I agree with Kim. This one is stunning, and I prefer the look of species like this one over the vast majority of hybrids. The petals remind me of C. mossiae's. Does C. mendellii have a nice scent?

For my nose, yes, Steve, a sweet scent!

I like it a lot too. I have seen a few companies offering selfings of this cultivar for sale.
