Bc. Maikai 'Spotted Star'
This is my favorite variety of Bc. Maikai. The colors are vibrant and does not fade over time. The dark spotted lip gives the flower a good contrast with its lighter petals and sepals. This plant is a profuse bloomer and will make an excellent specimen plant with time.

Those spots are fabulous.
It's quite unusual how the dark spotting on the petals and sepals seems to be on the back of the flowers, to begin with I thought it was just how it looked but you can see the backs of some of them.
Cool.

I have a Bc Makai, colors not as intense as yours. This one is beautiful and I'll be on the lookout for one. This and all the Bc's are the ones that never let me down, they get bigger and more beautiful with every blooming.
Beautiful! Enjoy!

Hi Rosie. You are very observant. The spotting on the petals and sepals are darker on the backside then the front.

Very nice
I had 'Mayumi' once but while it grew like a weed, could never get it to bloom so got rid of it.

Mel,
That one is great! I was not aware of this particular variety.
