Default Bc Maikai
This was a gift from my friend LindaR a few years ago. It has been healthy and steadily growing but hadn't bloomed till now. I guess she was just settling in to her new home before rewarding me with 7 spikes the first time!

It's in a clear 6" pot, the purple one is just decorative for now

Sue, very nice one! Congrats!! wait until it is dark, and then go enjoy the great fragrance of this hybrid... just amazing!

My Bc Maikai was doing the same for me...just growing and growing and growing but no blooms in almost 3 years... and this time BOOM 6 spikes with 26 flowers (not all open yet)

Don't you just love this one, Sue? I've had mine for 3 years and it took till last year to get blooms. If I remember, there were 4 spikes then. Mine is blooming now also and yesterday there were 10 spikes...this morning, 9 spikes, and one broken leaf, minus one leaf down and a lot of broken pieces of terra cotta .

Next year we're going to have an explosion with this one!! Enjoy your beautiful plant!

P.S. I love the pot it's in.
