Default Cattleya walkeriana 'Crown Jewel'

This is a large flower, about 4-1/2", 12 cm. It has a very good shape & thick substance. What I especially like are its clear white, the fine pink striations and very wide lip.

Parents are 'Puanani' x ' H&R'.

Those striations are really nice. Will they change color (ie. be more or less defined) in different climates?

Thanks everyone.
Isurus. I get the same markings now and in February. The temp & light difference between the 2 periods don't change the results. Striations may be lighter if it goes below mid 50's.

Gena. If you haven't bloomed your plant yet, what you have is probably the reciprocal cross ... H&R x Puanani. It was made later. The results will be similar ... very good semi-albas, some blushes, a few albescens. 4" to 4-1/2" flowers, heavy substance, excellent wide lips. The cross between the two parents was very good, both ways.

Thank you Jan. Very high praise.
I like this one very much also. From March until now, I don't think about the flowers ... then so many begin blooming.
