Default Epidendrum ellipticum

If you like the reed stem epidendrums but are tight on space you might want to try this little cutie. It is growing in a 3" pot, the stems are 3" to 5" tall and the spikes are about 8". It currently has four spikes and four new growths. It re-blooms on the old spikes and consequently is in bloom throughout the year. The flowers are actually a little more lavender than what the photos reflect.

Thanks for introducing this lovely little epi, Jerry.

It seems to be perfect for me to try but I have trouble searching the name. They seem to show a very different image on the websites for this name.

Try Epi. ellipticum. Sorry about the error. I got my plant from Andy's Orchids. I guess it comes in a lot of different colors.

What a nice plant, i haven't been able to find a grower in europe that sells this plant.
But then again i only buy from 2 growers i trust, i'm a little hesitant buying from unknown growers

Those are some beautiful colors. I use to have a white but it lacked vigor and even with guarded care it still bit the dust.

You could try growing them again as they bloom for most of the year, and they are also easy to grow.
I have other colours. I really love them, as when nothing else are in bloom, they are.
