Default SLC Ginny Champion deformation

Hello everyone ,
My SLC Ginny Champion is in bloom, it has 2 flowers and the first one looks perfectly normal, like it always has. Now the 2nd flower is deformed. I don't understand this, I've had the plant for 5 years (it has been split once into 3 pieces) and never seen this deformation.
Now my question is, does this have to do with genetics of the plant? Or did something go wrong while taking care of the plant while this bud was forming?
I'm a bit dissapointed, was looking forward to this bloom for so long, I love the coloration of the lip!

Here's a picture:

I would venture to guess that it might be growing conditions, if previous flowerings have been normal. Or, genetics could be the cause. I have a NOID Phal that produces one freak flower each time, but I have grown to enjoy this, for it is never the same twice! Sometimes it has no lip, once it was peloric, and another time, the column appeared to be sterile. I view it as a surprise with each flowering (especially since the other blooms are always normal)... it is in spike now, so we'll see what happens! My large Catt also seems to have a bud developing with the lip already protruding outside. This I think may be from a sudden change in conditions between outdoors and indoors while buds are setting, since it is normally flawless.

That's weird, that your phal keeps having 1 deformed flower and the deformation is different every time! Think I'll just have to wait and see what this plant does next time it blooms, or see if it's divisions show the same deformation!
Thanks for the reply
