Cattleya mendelii var. pincelada 'Arawa'
Cattleya mendelii has its natural habitats in Colombia and is in the background of many modern hybrids. It was once considered the most beautiful among all Cattleyas but, for some reason it is missing in modern collections, despite its beauty and its short and compact growth habits compared to other labiate Cattleyas. My plant has a charming lavender blush on the petals, which is actually darker than it appears in the photos.

My catt has very similar colors, so I'm gonna guess that this plant is somewhere in its lineage.
Very nice. I wonder if it's fragrant?

Very nice! Cattleya mendelii has been in my wish list for a long time but it is not easy to find this species in my country.

I understand, Pheli. It is sometimes available here, but not as common as we wish!
