Cattleya warneri
This is not really a good photo... besides, normally, this flower is darker and better in shape than it appears in this year's photo.
BTW, it's commonly mentioned the presence of one or two sheaths in C. labiata and I must say that this trait is common too in C. warneri and that's the case with this plant, which two leads have two sheaths.

It's gorgeous Maruo, not sure why you don't think it's a good photo. I really like the colours, especially the combination in the lip.

I like her alot Mauro! I have this species too, hasn't bloomed for me yet, but the plant put out 4 new pbulbs this year, so I am hoping she will soon. I am curious though what you mean by the double sheath. So each new pbulb produces two sheaths?

Nice to know that you are trying this, Nick!
I mentioned the double sheaths because, despite it is a myth and does not correspond to the reality, many orchidists keep repeating that Cattleya labiata has to have two sheaths (the normal, external one, and another, shorter, inside) to be true C. labiata. The reality is that two sheaths may or may not occur and the fact that a C. labiata has only one sheath does not mean it is not true C. labiata. I, then, mentioned in this thread that the same genetic instability occurs with C. warneri, which may have one or two sheaths, one inside the other.

Rosie, I think the colors are a little washed.

Mauro, those flowers look great, especially since you got so many of them. Is this species, like labiata, fragrant?
